Frequently asked questions

What's the cost?

Mixing, mastering, and stem mastering are scoped per song based on track count and complexity. Podcast and video projects are quoted by episode or project. See our pricing page for how we approach it.

How long does it take?

Single-song mixing: 5 to 10 business days from receipt. Full album: 3 to 6 weeks. Mastering: 3 to 7 business days. Rush available.

What format should I send stems in?

WAV or AIFF at session sample rate (typically 44.1 or 48 kHz, 24-bit). One stem per track or grouped stems both work.

Do you do mastering only?

Yes. Many projects come to us for mastering only after being mixed by the artist or another engineer. We work from stereo mix or stems.

Streaming loudness, broadcast loudness, all the standards?

Yes. We master to streaming standards (-14 LUFS integrated typical for Spotify/Apple), broadcast standards (-23 LUFS for EBU R128), or specific delivery specs. Tell us where it's going and we'll target correctly.

Can you mix podcasts that were recorded poorly?

Usually yes. Modern audio repair tools can fix most common issues: room noise, plosives, mouth clicks, levels. We're realistic about what's recoverable.

Have something to build?
